Surrey Festival 7s 2012

After last year's successful move of the event to a mid-Summer slot the prestigious Surrey Festival 7s will take place at Esher RFC on Saturday 21st July 2012, starting ko 11am (tbc).

We expect to have the same format as last year, which was a seeded KO draw for members of Surrey RFU, and a new competition for all clubs ko'd before the relevant semi-finals starting as they become available, thus guaranteeing a minimum of 3 games per club. Last year with 26 teams entered we ran 5 competitions concurrently (and all was wrapped up by 3.30pm!). This year we will add competition(s) as appropriate depending on the size of entry.

We also plan a Women's 7s tournament at the same time, details to be finalised and entry to the right of this page.

We would like to see entries from as many clubs in Surrey as possible as we have plenty of room at Esher and can easily accommodate them all. If we have room we will also run a separate Open Festival 7s for 2nd VIIs and non-Surrey teams, but first we shall see how entries come in from Surrey.

The entry form is on the right. Please return asap. If you want to register your interest by email return a scanned copy of the form to the Surrey office but entries will only be confirmed and acknowledged on receipt of payment. There are details for online payment on the form.
