SURREY U15s v KENT at Croydon RFC

The final fixture this season for Surrey U15s did not start to plan.  A well drilled and determined Kent side were first out the blocks and caught Surrey napping!  With some very sharp passing and well worked moves Kent were 17/0 ahead in the first ten minutes.

However, all credit to Surrey who looked a bit shocked  - the next ten minute period was all Surreys with the forwards working hard to retain the ball and a half time score of Kent 17/ Surrey 3 left the second half with all to play for.

Fired up and ready to go Surrey were soon just 1 point adrift at 17/16 after an excellent long range kick by George Jackson sailed over the bar. Not to be out done Kent converted an easy penalty and then managed to turn the screw even tighter and pull ahead further with a final score of 30/23, which was a fair result on the night.

It was pleasing to see a much improved Kent side this season who have suffered a few losses in past seasons.

Finally I would like to thank all the Parents for your support this season.  I hope you have enjoyed your first season at Surrey Rugby.
