YOUTH & SCHOOLS AWARDS 2009
This year saw over 120 awards presented to the winners of the Surrey Leagues, State School Competitions, School 7's Competitions and other National and Regional competitions.
Representative caps were also re-presented to the England Under 16 and Under 18 players.
For a change this year, the England Under 18 players presented the trophies to the winners of the school competitions.
As well as honouring the winners of the youth competitions, awards were also made to adults, who had made a significant contribution to Surrey Youth Rugby.

Guinness Player of the Year 2009
Chris Robshaw, who learned his rugby playing on Warlingham’s Hamsey Green pitches, has been named as the 2009 Guinness Premiership player of the year.
The success of Robshaw, 22, and his Harlequins team mates this season has meant that the all-action flanker is one old boy and current professional player who has yet been unable to agree to attend Warlingham’s awards dinner at their Hamsey Green clubhouse.
Until Quins lost their Premiership play-off against London Irish on Saturday, Robshaw had hoped to be required to play a key role in the final at Twickenham on Saturday.
The Warlingham awards are on May 16, when Robshaw's former club mates John Hart (now established as No8 at Wasps) and Kyle Traynor (in his first full season as a prop at Edinburgh) with guest of honour, England and Wasps' Paul Sackey, will be present with around 200 current members.
Robshaw, from Woldingham, attended Cumnor House prep school in South Croydon and started playing for Warlingham from the age of seven, going right through the age groups from mini rugby to juniors.
His outstanding season with Harlequins has earmarked the former England Schools and England under-21s player as a likely member of Martin Johnson’s senior England squad to tour Argentina this summer.
Robshaw “would not look out of place” in the national team according to his coach at Quins, former England back row legend Dean Richards.
Talking about Robshaw Nick Easter, the England and Harlequins No8, said: " There are very few times, if ever, this seasion he has been bettered and he has featured in all of our best performances.
“I have absolute faith in the guy next to me because I know he is going to do his job and I won't let him down. He has shown maturity way beyond his years this season.”
